In November, PokerTracker 3 was updated to Version 3.08, which is available as a free download. Now, Beta Version 3.09 is the standard. Seven new features were added in Version 3.08, one change was made, and several fixes were implemented to shore up any issues that people might have been having. For users who had Version 3.06, your PostgreSQL database will be updated and, depending on its size, the process has a varying rate of completion. Users are encouraged to upgrade when they have enough time to allow the update to install without interruption.
The seven new features are ones that users are all very excited about. PokerTracker 3 now supports the Merge Gaming Network and Winamax. The former includes sites like Carbon Poker, while Winamax is a French site getting a high volume of traffic.
There’s now multi-currency support, which really helps players who frequent GBP or Euro tables at various sites. PokerTracker developers also added Smart Tournament Detection, a fantastic way to automate the tournament results process. Finally, EV calculations for Omaha Manager along with TableTracker Omaha support for PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, PartyPoker, and CEREUS sites were added.
All told, there were 14 different import fixes. Some of these include PokerStars Mac Euro hands being lost, old PokerStars tournaments being rejected as play money, and a pot size error with all-in on BB + Ante hands. Other import fixes include Full Tilt Poker run-it-twice hands not being properly saved. Cake Poker tournaments with guarantees are no longer treated as freerolls and CEREUS HORSE games are now being imported properly. Finally, OnGame’s new date format and Microgaming’s hands being imported incorrectly are now working properly.
The HUD received four updates including WPEX table detection problems, Betfair crashes, Full Tilt Poker Rush Poker fixes, and PartyPoker cash game table finding. The Graphical User Interface (GUI) had five fixes, including tool tip issues, a fix for the Configure Currency window, Boss skins with spaces in their options directory, issues with Bodog’s hand history folder, and problems with Betfair’s hand histories.
The final fixes include two for the graphs, one of which fixes the all-in EV. The filters for Misc - Stack Size on Absolute Poker have been fixed, as have SQL comments being checked for inside SQL.
PokerTracker 3’s latest edition can be installed by going to the program’s homepage and clicking on the “Download Now” link on the right side. From there, you will need to accept the user agreement and then download the update, which weighs in at a reasonable 13.2 MB. To install it, simply double click on the file once it has downloaded completely. The entire process should take less than 15 seconds.
Once you start up PokerTracker 3, you can confirm that you have the latest edition by looking in the top left corner of the program’s window. The latest edition is 3.09 Beta.
